Applicant engaged us to help with his subclass 190 Skilled Nominated visa application in August 2023. As it was unclear which occupation category he would fall under, we held a paid consultation with Vetassess to get their opinion. Vetassess suggested, given his background that Natural and Physical Science Professional nec (234999) could be a viable option. We then applied and obtained a positive skills assessment for this occupation on 6 March 2024. In April 2024, the client and his wife obtained the PTE Academic test score – superior for applicant and competent for his spouse. Applicant was also encouraged to obtain NAATI Community Credentialed Language certificate, which he did adding a further 5 points to his score. Thereafter, we lodged several EOIs, one of which was to South Australia for subclass 190 visa, with 90 points. This was done 9 August 2024. On 9 September 2024, we received an invitation by SA to apply for the visa, which was duly lodged on 14 September 2024. The visa was finally processed and granted, with no further requests for information by DHA, on 28 October 2025. During the period of waiting between 14 Sept 24 to grant date, we updated DHA with new police clearance certificates, as those were only valid for 12 months. We did this so that the case officer did not need to issue a s. 56 RFI, thereby delaying the processing. The client, his wife and two children are extremely pleased with this, as they had been anticipating the grant.
